​When God blesses, how does He bless?

I Chronicles 12:1-22

​“[D]ay by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.”

David was on the run from King Saul. Even so, men flocked to him. People chose to live in seclusion and oppression just to be with David. They gave up their homes. They gave up the life they knew. Why?

God moves in unpredictable ways. He accomplishes His will on His timing. This means that even if you are on the run, God will coordinate all the pieces of life towards His purpose. David knew that he was going to be king. To be king, he needed followers. So, God sent him followers despite the extreme sacrifices it took on those who chose to follow David.

This is amazing! You do not have to do anything to make God’s plan come to pass; it will come to pass on its own. All you have to do is remain obedient to God, doing whatever He asks of you and repenting of any sins you commit on a daily basis. As long as we do not transgress against Him, God will bring the blessings to us.
