Happy November! I have been hard at work trying to organize a Sunday School program,
and the project is beginning to take shape. I originally wanted to give a wonderful overview of God's word for those who have never read the Bible before. There are so many people who have never sat down to read the Scriptures for themselves. I wanted my Sunday School classes to lay the foundation for students to go and read from Genesis to Revelation by giving them at least partial understanding of what happens in each book. By hitting all of the major stories, the students will also be able to follow along easier with sermon references and allusions to different parts of Scripture.
I set out with this task, and now I can finally say that it will shape in to a 52 week program. This way, if you have a student new to church (I mean "the church," not your church) you will be able to lay a solid foundation in his or her life in just one year.
I am also writing accompany lessons for teens, young adults, or adults. This way, an older sibling or parent will be able to follow along with what is being taught; this also gives parents the opportunity to do a Bible study series with their own child at home.
So far, I have completed ten weeks worth of lessons. You see some of the fruits of the labor in the growth of the printable resources section. Of course, as I complete an activity for each lesson, I will immediately post it for your availability. I am holding off on posting any of the lessons until the entire project gets at least one edit; they are not like the activities which are easy to proof and upload quickly. I am hoping that at my current pace I will complete the series early next year.
As we come into Thanksgiving and Christmas, I hope you all have wonderful fellowship with families and friends.
